Kindness Week

Cause Campaign - Non-profit

POSITION: Graphic Designer & Marketing Assistant
Office For Student Involvement

A reminder to Be Kind.

This Campaign started as an idea from Daryl Blackburn, who was my friend and co-worker at the time.

Kindness Week is a multi-organization and departmental event from Oakland University dedicated to acts of kindness toward the community and the environment.

For the Office of Student Involvement, Daryl wanted to create shirts, stickers, and a logo that our department could share with the Oakland University Community.

My idea was to design something simple that could speak to everyone and was versatile across multiple deliverables. That way, it would always be a reminder to be kind.

After the project was complete, I planned and executed a photoshoot with our department, which was later used for social media advertising.

In loving memory of a dear friend.

Daryl Blackburn was truly one of the kindest people I have ever met. We worked together for three years, and every single day, he would remind me how important “one act of kindness a day" can be.

This was one of the last projects we had the chance to work on together. And for this reason, this project speaks volumes to what life should be about: kindness, love, and friendship.
